Title  The Departed
Of all the films depicting the Boston Irish mob scene this is one of the best ever made. Everything from the choice of classic Boston exteriors to the choice of casting Damon and Wahlberg, two native sons with the authentic dialect, give a real taste of Boston Irish. The story, yet another based on 'Whitey' Bulger (see also Vendetta and The Friends of Eddie Coyle) explores the layers of informants used by the police and the gangsters. But, what it's really doing is exploring the characters' loyalties, where they came from, and how far they will go.			Click picture for more info
