The Irish in Film
A Complete List of Irish Films

 Title  Patrick
As with all saints, there are several miracles attributed to Saint Patrick. He supposedly drove the snakes out of Ireland. But there were no snakes in Ireland. The real miracle was the conversion of the Celts the Christianity. The Ireland of Patrick's time had a rich culture and its own religious beliefs including those of the Druids. Patrick found a kinship between the two faiths which allowed the unprecedented 'bloodless' conversion of the Irish people. This documentary depicts scenes of Patrick's life and also discusses his legacy. His influence on literacy and ministry are still strong even after 1600 years.  See also: St. Patrick: The Irish Legend Link to reviews
