The Irish in Film
A Complete List of Irish Films

 Title  Passed Away
The Irish in America have assimilated quickly into their new culture and yet many are still unmistakably Irish. The Irish-American family shown here is two or more generations out of Ireland, but still shows some typical Irish traits. The family is large; one member has entered a vocation; one member is in the arts; divorces are not spoken of; and they have strong union ties. Yet far from the assurance the Old Country gave of knowing the right path, each member of this family struggles uncomfortably in their mutated roles. Link to reviews
