The Irish in Film
A Complete List of Irish Films

 Title  Mountains of the Moon
The Irish of British descent were treated second-best by the British according to Bram Stoker (author of Dracula), a contemporary of our subject, Sir Richard Burton. Burton was born in Ireland of an Anglo-Irish father and a Scottish mother. He traveled to Africa to find the source of the Nile with a more 'proper' Englishman (in both senses of the word) John Hanning Speke. This film deals with the story and controversy of who should get credit for their discovery. Link to reviews Click picture
