 Title   Far and Away
Irish Immigrants came to America by the boatload during the 19th century. There was no welfare back then and new-comers struggled to find work. This story follows a young couple who land in Boston in 1893 where they work at low paying jobs. Then, as luck would have it, the young man learns he can earn a lot more money in boxing. Boxing, even today, is seen as a ticket out of the ghetto -- but at what price? link to Amazon.com
